On October 29, 2025, Wang Xiao, Chinese Acting Consul General in Cape Town, paid a visit to Cape Town Science Center. Acting Consul General Wang visited the science popularization facilities and exhibitions, interacted with the students on the spot, and held talks with Steven Sack, the Managing Director of the center, on strengthening the science popularization and people-to-people cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

Acting Consul General Wang appreciated the center for its contributions to enhancing the popularization of science, technology and culture both locally and in South Africa, encouraging the center to strengthen practical exchanges and cooperation in science popularization, humanity cultures with Chinese counterparts.
