On Oct 29, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call to His. Honour Ndaba Gaolathe, Vice President and Minister of Finance of Botswana. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations between China and Botswana. 

Ambassador Fan briefed on the recent Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and said that China is willing to take the 50th anniversary as an opportunity to deepen exchanges and practical cooperation under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative and Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. 

His. Honour Ndaba Gaolathe spoke highly of China-Botswana relations, reiterated Botswana’s adherence to the one-China principle, commended China's achievements in economic and social development, and expressed willingness to deepen bilateral friendship and expand practical cooperation across various fields.
