Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai Holds an Introduction on China’s “fourth Plenary” and Photo Exhibition on Indian Youth Delegation’s Visit to China

From November 8 to 10, the Consulate General in Mumbai held a photo exhibition on Indian Youth Delegation’s Visit to China at St. Xavier's College. Consul General Qin Jie, Deputy Consul General Wang Awei, and College Principal Dr. Karuna Gokarn attended the event. About 150 people, including  delegation members, faculties and students, media professionals, and friends from various sectors were present.

Mr. Qin said, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and India. Last year, young Indian representatives visited China and experienced firsthand China’s development achievements. The photo exhibition documented their colorful journey in China and serves as a concrete manifestation of the friendship between our two countries. He pointed out that not long ago, the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was successfully convened, outlining a grand blueprint for China’s development over the next five years. It anchors the new goal of Chinese modernization, emphasizes the development of new quality productive forces, accelerates high-level self-reliance and strength in science and technology, and expands high-level opening up, which will open up broader space for China-India cooperation. He also accepted interviews from media concerning China’s 15th Five-Year plan and India-China cooperation.

Gokarn said that the photo exhibition is very meaningful and expressed the hope to enhance cooperation with Chinese Consulate so as to promote exchanges between Chinese and Indian young people and the friendship between the two countries.
