On November 18, 2025, Ambassador Fan Yong paid a courtesy call on Mr. Anthony Mokento,Commissioner of Botswana Prisons Service.

Ambassador Fan briefed Mr. Mokento on the Fourth Plenary Session of 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and expressed willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between counterpart departments of the two countries, at the turn the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Mr. Mokento commended the achievements of Chinese modernization and hoped to enhance personnel exchanges between the two sides while deepening cooperation in areas such as prison management.
