On 8th December, Consul General Qin Jie attended the inauguration ceremony of the Dr. Kotnis digital Learning Centre at Kuchan High School in Solapur, which was launched as a CSR project by Chinese company YAPP India. 

Mr. Qin said that in the most difficult times of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Dr.  Kotnis traveled to China to treat Chinese soldiers and civilians with his expert medical skills, and gave his life to the cause of China’s resistance and national salvation. We will never forget his sacrifice, and would like to contribute to the development of his hometown. He expressed hope that the children will study hard and grow up strong and healthy, carrying forward Dr. Kotnis’ spirit, and serving as a bridge for friendship between China and India.  

The school and the student representatives expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the digital learning center, and said they are willing to carry forward Dr. Kotnis’ spirit and contribute to the cause of China-India friendship.
