Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden Wan Degang Attends CIIE Insights Sharing Event

On December 10, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden held the CIIE Insights Sharing Event. Mr. Wan Degang, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, Mr. Li Guoqing, Deputy Director-General of the CIIE Bureau, and Mr. Per Portén, Trade Commissioner of Business Sweden, attended and delivered remarks. More than 20 participates, including responsible officials from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Rural Affairs and Infrastructure, as well as representatives from several enterprises participating in the CIIE, were present at the event.

Mr. Wan commended the important contributions made by Swedish enterprises to the development of China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation, and provided key interpretations of the strategic plans and major measures related to high-standard opening up and green transition across the board in the 15th Five-Year Plan recommendations. He stated that a more open China will remain an important opportunity for global development, and the Chinese side is ready to work hand in hand with the Swedish business community to inject more stability and positive momentum into the economies of China, Sweden, Europe and the world at large.

Representatives of the participating Swedish enterprises shared their impressions on the CIIE, spoke highly of the CIIE’s role as a platform, expressed their continued confidence in China’s development, and looked forward to further expanding and deepening practical cooperation with China.
