On December 30, the Chinese Embassy in Liberia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Held a New Year’s Eve Party. Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, and H.E. Madam Sara Beysolow Nyanti, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Gabriel H. Salee, Deputy Minister for Administration and Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bakri Nyei, Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and Economic Integration along with other officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia and the Chinese Embassy, over 60 persons attended.

Ambassador Yin spoke highly of the achievements of the China-Liberia strategic partnership in 2025. Yin highlighted the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Chinese Communist Party’s education campaign to implement its central leadership’s “eight-point decision” on improving Party and Government conduct, the recommendation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and the Global Governance Initiative. Yin congratulated Liberia on its successful election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2026-2027 term, hoping that the friendly cooperation between China and Liberia will achieve new and greater success.
Minister Nyanti stated that Liberia firmly supports the one-China principle, praised China's achievements in poverty alleviation and welcomed President Xi Jinping's Global Governance Initiative. Looking ahead to 2026, Liberia will assume its term as a non-permanent member of United Nations Security Council. Liberia stands ready to join hands with China to uphold multilateralism, promote the China-Liberia strategic partnership and maintain world peace and security.

The attendees enthusiastically participated in the games and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
