China’s development is providing opportunities for the rest of the world. Based on the solid foundation for green cooperation between China and Iceland, China is willing to continue strengthening economic and trade ties with Iceland to jointly inject momentum into global sustainable development.

Guðfinnsson spoke positively of China's development achievements which he believed could be a good reference to Iceland.
