On January 12, Consul General Mr. Liu Jun in Erbil visited Sulaymaniyah Province to conduct visits and extend greetings to Chinese enterprises. Consul Mr. Zou Demin and other officials attended the visit. At the Sulaymaniyah Office of Huawei Iraq Northern Branch Office, CG Liu met with staff members and held discussions with representatives of employees. He encouraged them to actively participate in the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, fulfill the corporate's social responsibilities, and contribute to local development.

CG Liu then visited three project sites operated by Sinoma Industry & Trade (Iraq) Co., Ltd. and Hainan Jiangyan Co., Ltd., where he extended festive greetings and best wishes to Chinese employees working on-site. He also inspected workplace safety conditions, stressing the importance of strictly concreting the safety of production, thoroughly implementing the new development concept, and demonstrating the positive image and professionalism of Chinese enterprises. He further emphasized the need to effectively safeguard the lawful rights and interests of employees and to approach the opening phase of the 15th Five-Year Plan with a rigorous and solid work style. The Chinese staff members expressed their sincere appreciation for the Consulate General’s visit and care, and stated that they would conscientiously fulfill their responsibilities in safety production and compliant operations, striving to demonstrate new achievements and accomplishments.

During the visit, CG Liu also met with local overseas Chinese compatriots and presented them with “Spring Festival Care Packages” as a gesture of warm holiday greetings.
