On January 21, 2026, H.E. Zhang Zuo, Chinese Ambassador to Malta, met with Mr. Neville Aquilina, Director General for Global Issues, International Development and Economic Affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Tourism of Malta.

Both sides spoke highly of the China-Malta bilateral relations and cooperation in the multilateral arena. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
