On February 11, 2026, the University of Information Science and Technology “St. Paul the Apostle” in Ohrid, held an event marking the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan, State Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister Ms. Pangovska, and Rector Emeritus Prof. Ninoslav Marina delivered remarks. Faculty members and students were present.

Ambassador Jiang shared her personal experiences and stories of distinguished Chinese women scientists to demonstrate China’s progress in women’s causes. She also expounded on initiatives and measures put forward by President Xi at the Global Summit of Women, stressing that China is ready to work with all sides to establish more cooperation platforms to further empower women. She encouraged female students to take an active part in global governance, and jointly strive for a community with a shared future for mankind.
