Chargé d’Affaires a.i. Wan Degang Attends 2026 Annual Conference of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Sweden

On February 12, 2026, Mr. Wan Degang, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, attended and delivered remarks at the 2026 Annual Conference of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (CCCS) at the latter’s invitation. Ms. Kang Wen, Counselor in charge of economic and commercial affairs of the Embassy, and more than 50 representatives of CCCS member companies were present at the annual conference.

Mr. Wan reviewed China’s achievements in economic and social development and the fruitful outcomes of China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation in 2025, and commended the CCCS for its positive contributions to advancing bilateral economic and trade relations. Mr. Wan expressed his hope that, in the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, the CCCS would further leverage its role as a bridge and bond, guide enterprises to strengthen risk awareness, care for and support their employees, operate in compliance with laws and regulations, and fulfill their social responsibilities, thereby playing a greater role in promoting high-quality development of China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation.

The head of the CCCS outlined its major tasks in 2025 and its plans for 2026. He stated that the CCCS will take the 10th anniversary of its founding as a new starting point to continue fulfilling its responsibilities of promoting trade and investment, facilitating information sharing, providing services, safeguarding members’ rights and interests, strengthening self-discipline, as well as promoting industrial exchanges and development, so as to make new contributions to expanding and deepening China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation.
