On March 4, Consul General Li Nan was invited to attend Banbridge Academy’s Chinese New Year Celebration and make a speech. Principal McLoughlin, and more than 140 faculty and students from three partner primary schools participated.

Mr. Li extended New Year's greetings to the teachers and students, introduced the Chinese zodiac and Spring Festival culture in a simple and easy-to-understand way, and conducted a Chinese culture knowledge quiz with students.

Principal McLoughlin introduced Banbridge Academy's history, especially its Chinese language teaching program and special activities, and expressed that strengthening international exchanges is crucial for the younger generation in Northern Ireland, and that Banbridge Academy is willing to carry out more people-to-people exchange activities with China.
