On March 20, 2026, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden hosted an Open Day Event on the 15th Five-Year Plan. Ambassador Zhou Limin attended the event and had friendly exchanges with nearly 40 students from Stockholm University and the Stockholm School of Economics.

Ambassador Zhou highlighted the latest achievements of China’s economy, and interpreted the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for National Economic and Social Development. He stated that China will promote high-quality development through high-standard opening up, and stands ready to share opportunities with the rest of the world and usher in a brighter future together. He noted that China and Sweden share a long history of friendly exchanges, and both are committed to upholding multilateralism and supporting economic globalization. The two countries enjoy a solid foundation for cooperation and strong industrial complementarity, and China-Sweden economic and trade cooperation has a promising future. China stands ready to further deepen practical cooperation with Sweden, and open a new chapter in bilateral economic and trade relations.
