On 29 March, 2026, at the invitation of the Ski Association of Slovenia, Ambassador Kang Yan attended the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Finals 2026 held in Planica, Slovenia.

During the event, Ambassador Kang met with Mr. Luka Steiner, Member of the National Council of Slovenia and President of the Ski Association of Slovenia, as well as other sports figures. They exchanged views on deepening winter sports cooperation between China and Slovenia, both bilaterally and within the China-CEEC Coordination Mechanism for Sports.
