On April 1, Ambassador Chu Maoming and Hon. Octavia Alfred, Minister of Education, Human Resource Planning, Vocational Training and National Excellence, inspected the China-aided Goodwill Secondary School project for post-hurricane reconstruction. Permanent Secretary Robert Guiste and other representatives from the Ministry, as well as Jiang Lili, official in charge of economic and commercial affairs of Chinese Embassy, joined the inspection.

Ambassador Chu Maoming visited the construction site of the Goodwill Secondary School project, received a briefing on the construction progress of the project, and spoke highly of the efforts made by the China project team. Ambassador Chu stated that the school project for post-hurricane reconstruction lives up to the expectations of the government and all sectors of society in Dominica. He requested the project team to strictly ensure safety and quality, implement the project with high standards, and well serve the economic and social development of Dominica.
Minister Alfred expressed gratitude to China for its strong assistance to Dominica in the field of education, spoke highly of the project progress, and expressed hope to continuously deepen cooperation with China in education and other areas.
