Chinese Consul General in Auckland Chen Shijie Meets with Professor Hu Aiguo, Newly Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand

On 11 April, Consul General Chen Shijie met with Professor Hu Aiguo, who was recently elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand, at the Consul General’s residence.

Chen extended warm congratulations to Professor Hu on his election and spoke highly of his long-standing commitment to promoting educational and scientific research cooperation between China and New Zealand. He encouraged Professor Hu to keep making contributions to the deepening of bilateral relations.

Professor Hu expressed his willingness to enhance his capacity for technological innovation and the application of research outcomes, in order to inject new momentum into academic exchange and cooperation between New Zealand and China.

Professor Hu Aiguo is with the Faculty of Engineering and Design at the University of Auckland, and has long been engaged in teaching and research in advanced power conversion and control, as well as wireless power transfer.
