Chinese Ambassador to Sweden Zhou Limin Visits Stockholm Environment Institute

On June 16, 2026, Ambassador Zhou Limin visited Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), where he met with Ms. Eeva Primmer, Executive Director of the Institute, and exchanged views with Director Annika Markovic and other representatives on advancing China-Sweden practical green cooperation. Mr. Cui Yuting, Counsellor in charge of science and technology affairs at the Chinese Embassy, accompanied the visit.

Ambassador Zhou briefed the Swedish side on Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, and China’s institutional framework for ecological and environmental governance, as well as its notable achievements in environmental management and green transition. He commended SEI for its contributions to promoting China-Sweden cooperation in advancing ecological civilization and sustainable development, and expressed the hope that SEI would continue to serve as a bridge for more concrete and effective cooperation on green projects.

Ms. Markovic and other representatives gave an overview of SEI and introduced its ongoing work and cooperative projects in China. They spoke highly of China’s progress in ecological improvement, climate response and biodiversity protection, and expressed readiness to deepen bilateral cooperation in relevant fields.
