On June 18, 2026, H.E.Ambassador Huang Shifang and Hon. Minister of Land Transport of Mauritius, Osman Mohamed jointly attended the handover ceremony of the electric bus project aided by China to Mauritius and signed the handover certificate.

Ambassador Huang stated that the electric bus project is another important achievement of pragmatic cooperation between China and Mauritius, which will help improve the level of public transportation services in Mauritius, promote green and low-carbon development, and help Mauritius achieve its strategic goals of sustainable development.

Minister Mohamed thanked China for its long-term support and highly praised the project's positive significance in promoting the development of green public transportation. He expressed his willingness to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides in areas such as transportation and green development.
