Xi Jinping Sends Congratulatory Message to Namibian President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah

On December 5, 2024, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her election as President of the Republic of Namibia.

Xi Jinping pointed out, China and Namibia enjoy traditional friendship. In recent years, the two countries have strengthened political mutual trust, achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation and supported each other on issues related to their respective core interests and major concerns. Xi Jinping said that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Namibia relations and is ready to work with President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah to take the implementation of the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit as an opportunity to carry forward traditional friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, push for continuous development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
