President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping announced the appointment of the following new Ambassadors in line with decisions adopted by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress:
I. Lu Xu (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Malawi, replacing Long Zhou.
II. Kong Xianhua was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Maldives, replacing Wang Lixin (female).
III. Huang Shifang (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Mauritius, replacing Zhu Liying.
IV. Li Zhigang was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Senegal, replacing Xiao Han.
Ⅴ. Lu Mei (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Azerbaijan, replacing Guo Min (female).
VI. Li Xinwei was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Armenia, replacing Fan Yong.
VII. Yang Yang (female) was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, replacing Guo Haiyan (female).
VIII. Sun Lei was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and Deputy Permanent Representative of the People's Republic of China to the United Nations, replacing Dai Bing.
