Noting that Australia and China are highly complementary in economy, Anthony Albanese said that Australia looks forward to deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with China in economy, trade, agriculture, tourism, culture and other areas, and deepening education, people-to-people and youth exchanges. Australia is willing to provide a stable and predictable environment for Chinese businesses to invest and do business in the country and welcomes more Chinese students and tourists to visit the country. Australia firmly supports multilateralism and fair and free trade, and is willing to work with China to address global challenges such as climate change and jointly uphold the WTO-centered multilateral trading system.
