Xi Jinping noted that Chile is the first South American country to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. China-Chile relations have long been at the forefront of China's relations with Latin American countries. It is a broad consensus among all sectors of society in both countries to continue advancing the development of China-Chile relations. Xi Jinping said that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Chile relations and is ready to work with President-elect Jose Antonio Kast to carry forward the traditional friendship and continuously take the China-Chile comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights, so as to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.
