On the afternoon of May 25, 2026, Peng Liyuan, wife of Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Tamara Vučić, wife of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, who accompanied President Aleksandar Vučić on his state visit to China, visited the Beijing Dance Academy.

The wives of the two heads of state came to the Dance Museum of the academy to learn about the development history of Chinese dance. In the teaching area, Peng Liyuan and Tamara Vučić observed with great interest the teaching of Chinese dance, ballet and other dance forms. Afterwards, they enjoyed a demonstration of students' performance practices and had warm exchanges with the faculty and students in a lively and friendly atmosphere.

Peng Liyuan noted that the art of dance can transcend national borders, convey cultures and ideas, and play a unique role in people-to-people and cultural exchanges and mutual learning. It is hoped that artists from both countries will strengthen exchanges and cooperation and create more outstanding works. Tamara Vučić expressed her appreciation for Peng Liyuan's thoughtful arrangements, and said that she is ready to actively promote exchanges between the two countries in culture, art and other fields, and contribute to deepening Serbia-China friendship.
