On the morning of December 1, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov of Belarus at the hotel where he stayed in Sochi.
Li Keqiang said that China and Belarus are friendly neighbors. Since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations 25 years ago, both sides have always enjoyed mutual respect and equal treatment. It is hoped that the two countries could further enhance the integration of development strategies, give play to complementary advantages, and tap cooperation potential in economy, trade and investment. The two countries should take the construction of China-Belarus Industrial Park as a key project to strengthen relevant cooperation in infrastructure construction and production capacity, as well as jointly explore and innovate financing methods, in a bid to better achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. Both sides should enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges, especially between the youths of the two countries, and actively cultivate new growth points for cooperation.
Andrei Kobyakov expressed that Belarus supports China's development direction and measures, and is willing to actively align the two countries' development strategies and make efforts to establish an all-weather friendly and cooperative relationship. Belarus will attend the first China International Import Expo to be held in China next year, speed up and improve the construction of the Belarus-China Industrial Park, and further carry out bilateral cooperation in logistics, scientific innovation and other projects. He hoped that the two sides could designate 2018 as Belarus-China Year of Tourism, so as to expand bilateral tourism cooperation and boost exchanges between the youths of the two countries.
