On September 28, 2021, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Mongolian Ambassador to China Tuvshin Badral.
Liu Jinsong said, the Mongolian saying "neighbors are close to each other and share a common destiny" is similar to the Chinese expressions "share the same future" and "fostering amity with one's neighbors". China and Mongolia are important neighbors to each other and bilateral relations have been developing well in recent years. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Mongolia have helped each other and cooperated in the fight against the pandemic, leaving behind the touching story of gifting one another with sheep and tea. China is ready to maintain high-level exchanges with Mongolia, strengthen practical cooperation, actively support each other and push for the continuous development of China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.
Liu Jinsong said, I grew up in China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region bordering Mongolia and visited Mongolia to promote the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor when I was Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs of the Foreign Ministry. Ulan Bator's local conditions and customs left a good impression on me.
Badral said, the recent middle and high-level exchanges between Mongolia and China have been frequent and fruitful, and the two countries have carried out sound cooperation against the pandemic. At Mongolia's request, China arranged to transport refined oil to Mongolia within a short time, which eased Mongolia's urgent difficulties. Mongolia is deeply grateful for that. Mongolia attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to continue to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China.
