President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin Send Congratulatory Letters Respectively to the 10th China-Russia Expo

On May 17, 2026, President Xi Jinping and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory letters respectively to the 10th China-Russia Expo.

Xi Jinping pointed out that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia strategic partnership of coordination and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation. Through the joint efforts of both sides, cooperation across various fields between China and Russia has continued to deepen and deliver solid outcomes, yielding fruitful results.

Xi Jinping stressed that it is hoped that all sectors of the two countries will take the Expo as an opportunity to give full play to the geographical proximity and complementary strengths of China and Russia, deepen all-round practical cooperation, better promote the economic and social development of both countries, continuously enhance the well-being of the two peoples, and make new contributions to the steady and sustained growth of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.

Vladimir Putin stated in his congratulatory letter that the Russia-China Expo has grown into the largest exhibition event between the two countries, providing a platform for direct and in-depth dialogue between the two sides. He noted that this year’s Expo features rich and substantive content, focuses on key areas of bilateral cooperation, and facilitates exchanges on a wide range of topics. He expressed confidence that the Expo will yield positive outcomes, chart new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, and deliver benefits to the two peoples.

The 10th China-Russia Expo, themed “Trust, Cooperation, and Mutual Benefit,” is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the People’s Government of Heilongjiang Province, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The Expo opened on the same day in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province.
