On March 13, 2009, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Hu Zhengyue met with visiting Secretary-General of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) Nii Allotey Odunton, exchanging views on issues including the work of the ISA and enhancement of China-ISA cooperation.

Hu acknowledged the ISA’s achievements, expressing China’s willingness to maintain and strengthen sound relations with ISA and to support and help promote the work of ISA in various fields. Odunton spoke highly of China’s long-standing support and assistance to ISA and looked forward to further enhancing cooperation with China.
