On April 7, 2026, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Bai Tian accepted the copy of credentials from newly-appointed Resident Coordinator of the UN Development System in China Stephen Jackson. Coordinator Stephen Jackson arrived in China on April 3.

The two sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on the international development cooperation landscape, UN reforms in the development field, and deepening practical cooperation.
