On September 14, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov held the China-Russia vice-foreign-ministerial consultation on Middle East affairs via video link. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on regional hot-spot issues and issues of mutual interest.

The two sides agreed to strengthen coordination under the guidance of China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era to promote regional peace and stability and uphold international fairness and justice.
