On April 13, 2023, Vice Foreign Minister Deng Li met with the newly-appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to China Dr. İsmail Hakkı Musa.

Deng Li welcomed Musa to China to assume his new post and noted that in recent years, China-Türkiye relations have been developing steadily, with close high-level exchanges and positive progress in mutually beneficial cooperation. The two sides should implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, constantly enhance political mutual trust, accommodate each other's core interests and major concerns, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote the sustained and sound development of China-Türkiye strategic cooperative relations.

Musa said Türkiye attaches great importance to developing relations with China, and stays firmly committed to the one-China principle. Türkiye is ready to work with China to continuously strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields to promote greater development of bilateral relations.
