On April 21, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand.
Ma Zhaoxu said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. China is ready to work with Thailand to follow through on the important common understandings reached between the leaders of the two countries, further consolidate strategic mutual trust, deepen development integration, expand interactions and exchanges, and promote the building of a China-Thailand community with a shared future to continuously achieve new results.
Maris Sangiampongsa said that the friendship between Thailand and China has a long history, and the people of both countries are as close as one family. Thailand values its relations with China and is willing to further strengthen practical cooperation in various fields with China, jointly address global and regional challenges, and take the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China as an opportunity to promote greater development in Thailand-China relations.
