On July 16, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with visiting Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Central African Republic and Head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic Valentine Rugwabiza, and the two sides exchanged views on the situation in the Central African Republic and the region, the reform of the United Nations peacekeeping operations, and cooperation between China and the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic.
