On August 15, 2025, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu, upon invitation, attended India's Independence Day reception held by the Embassy of India in China, and met with Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat.

Both sides unanimously agreed to implement the important common understandings reached during the meeting between President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kazan last October, strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and promote the continuous improvement and development of China-India relations.
