Ambassador Deng Xijun Calls on First Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan

On May 10th, 2015, H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, called on H.E. Mr. Mohammad Khan, First Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan.

Ambassador Deng said, China and Afghanistan enjoy a long history of friendship. As the largest neighbor of Afghanistan, China sincerely hopes that Afghanistan could achieve peace and development at an early date. As 2015 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic ties as well as the Year of China-Afghanistan Friendship and Cooperation, China would like to take this opportunity to work together with Afghanistan to implement the consensus reached by leaders of the two countries, promote the China-Afghanistan Strategic and Cooperative Partnership to a new level, and bring benefits to the peoples of both countries.

Mohammad Khan appreciated China’s strong support and selfless assistance to Afghan peaceful reconstruction all along, and said that Afghanistan regards China as a sincere friend and reliable partner, highly evaluates China's role and influence in international and regional affairs, is willing to enhance practical cooperation in all areas, and brings the Afghanistan-China Strategic and Cooperative Partnership to a new high.
