Ambassador Deng Xijun Calls on New Minister of Urban Development Affairs of Afghanistan

On May 5th, 2015, H.E. Mr. Deng Xijun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, called on H.E. Mr. Sayed Naderi, new Minister of Urban Development Affairs of Afghanistan.

Ambassador Deng congratulated Minister Naderi for assuming his new office and said that since the establishment of China-Afghanistan diplomatic ties 60 years ago, the bilateral relations have steadily deepened, and the substantial cooperation has yielded fruitful results in all areas. China is willing to continue its active participation in Afghan peaceful reconstruction, share its experience of development with Afghanistan, and encourage its competent and reputable companies to invest in Afghanistan and participate in Afghan urban construction when the security situation becomes better, so as to push forward the development of China-Afghanistan friendly relations and cooperation.

Minister Naderi thanked Ambassador Deng for his congratulations, and said that China enjoys rapid economic and social development, has made remarkable achievements in national construction and accumulated rich experience especially in the fields of urban planning and housing construction. Afghanistan is willing to take China as a model and learn from its good practices in the area of urban construction. Afghanistan welcomes Chinese companies to participate in Afghan urban construction so as to make new contribution to realizing the sustainable economic and social development of Afghanistan.
