Ambassador Xu Hong met with the Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs

On April 23, H. E. Mr. Xu Hong, Chinese Ambassador to Barbados, met with the Hon. Adriel Braithwaite, Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs of Barbados.

Minister Braithwaite welcomed Ambassador Xu’s second visit to the Attorney General’s Office and Ministry of Home Affairs, and expressed that legal cooperation was an important part of the comprehensive bilateral cooperation between Barbados and China and the government of Barbados was interested in the discussion of a legal cooperation treaty with the government of China to further promote and safeguard the bilateral exchanges and cooperation.

Ambassador Xu congratulated Minister Braithwaite on his reappointment as the Attorney General and Minister of Home Affairs, and noted that with the deepening of economic and trade cooperation and increasing personnel exchanges between the two countries, a treaty of bilateral legal cooperation would ensure the steady and long-term cooperation between China and Barbados. The Chinese side would collaborate with the Barbadian side to enhance and guarantee the bilateral cooperation in all fields.

Mrs. Wang lei, political counselor of the Embassy, and Permanent Secretary and Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry attended the meeting.
