Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Visited the Embassy

On April 25, Senator Darcy Boyce, Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, and Ms. Valerie Browne, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister visited the Chinese Embassy and met with H.E. Xu Hong, Chinese Ambassador to Barbados.

Minister Boyce expressed that the new government of Barbados wished to enhance the cooperation with China in the areas of new energy, water resource management and food security, and construct people-benefit projects by learning advanced experience and technology from China. Also the Barbadian government was looking forward to discussing the visa exemption agreement with the Chinese side to provide more conveniences to the friendly exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.

Ambassador Xu said that the Chinese side was willing to deepen the pragmatic cooperations in energy, agriculture, water resource and investment with the Barbadian side, and make joint efforts to gain more practical results to benefit the peoples of both countries.

Mrs. Wang Lei, Political Counsellor and Mr. Wu Gangchen, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy attended the meeting.
