Estonia attends China-CEEC Video Conference on COVID-19

On March 13, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, together with the National Health Commission, the General Administration of Customs, the Civil Aviation Administration and Beijing Municipal Government, hosted a video conference on the prevention and control of COVID-19 with the 17 Central and Eastern European Countries and Malta. Officials and experts from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health Board participated in the conference. Chinese Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr. Li Chao also attended the meeting.

Experts from China's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Peking University Hospital, Civil Aviation, Customs and Community shared the information and experience of China in fighting against COVID-19 with the participants and answered the questions one by one.

The Estonian participants spoke highly of the video conference and thought that the experience and measures shared by the Chinese counterparts were impressive and deepened their knowledge of COVID-19. “The materials provided by the Chinese side are very professional and targeted. We will distribute them to Estonian hospitals and other relevant authorities in time. Estonia hopes to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China to fight against COVID-19.” Said the Estonian side.
