Counselor Xu Min Paid A Working Visit to Idaho


On August 22, 2017, Counselor Xu Min of the Congressional and Sub-national Affairs Office of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, paid a working visit to Boise, the capital city of the State of Idaho. During the visit, Xu met with Mr. Brad Little, the Lt. Governor and the Speaker of the Senate of Idaho, Mr. David Hensley, Chief of Staff of the Governor's Office, and Ms. Megan Ronk, the Director of Idaho Department of Commerce. They had a deep exchange of views on how to promote the friendly relationship between Idaho and China, to expand the practical cooperation and some other issues.

Counselor Xu said, the Chinese government places great importance on the sub-national cooperation between our two countries, and appreciates the endeavors of the leadership of Idaho in advancing economic and trade cooperation between Idaho and China. The Chinese Embassy in the United States wishes to work closely with the Idaho state Government and relevant sides to push our relationship to a new high in the future.

Lt. Governor Little and other Idaho officials briefed about Idaho's competitive pro-business environment, and stressed that Idaho enjoys a long-term friendly relationship with China, and both sides are important trade partners to each other. The Idaho State looks forward to working jointly with the Chinese side to further develop the mutually beneficiary cooperation.
