Consul General Zha Liyou Visits ORF Kolkata

On 24 Sept., Consul General Zha Liyou visited Observer Research Foundation (ORF) Kolkata Chapter, and met with Director Dr. Nilanjan Ghosh, Adviser Prof. Rakhahari Chatterji, and Prof. Jayanta Bandyopadhyay。

Mr Zha Liyou said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 72nd anniversary of India's independence. Sino-Indian relations continues to develop rapidly, and the second meeting of the High-level People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges Mechanism was successfully held not long ago, which injected new impetus into the cultural exchange. He encouraged the ORF Kolkata Chapter to continue to work with the consulate to promote think tank and academic exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, benefiting the people-to-people ties.

Dr. Ghosh and the professors thanked Mr Zha for his support to ORF Kolkata Chapter and said they would love to continue to join the consulate to promote friendly think tank exchanges between India and China.

Consul Zheng Huiqun, wife of the Consul General, and Consul Xie Chao were present.
