Wang Huning Meets with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marinko Čavara

On July 1, 2025, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning met in Beijing with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Marinko Čavara.

Wang Huning said that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and the Presidency of BiH, the two countries have enjoyed solid political mutual trust, fruitful economic and trade cooperation, and close people-to-people and cultural exchanges. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and BiH. President Xi Jinping and rotating Chair of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović exchanged congratulatory messages. China is ready to work with BiH to implement the important common understandings reached between the two heads of state, and deepen cooperation on the basis of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit. The CPPCC National Committee is ready to make new contributions to advancing the development of bilateral relations.

Marinko Čavara highly commended the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and the Belt and Road Initiative put forth by President Xi Jinping, and spoke highly of the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics and China's development achievements. He said that BiH firmly upholds the one-China principle and is willing to deepen practical cooperation with China in various fields to promote new progress in BiH-China relations.
