Assistant Foreign Minister Deng Li and Undersecretary of Sudanese Foreign Ministry Mohamed Sharif Abdallah Hold China-Sudan Foreign Ministry Political Consultation

On October 21, 2021, Assistant  Foreign Minister Deng Li and Undersecretary of Sudanese Foreign Ministry Mohamed  Sharif Abdallah held the China-Sudan Foreign Ministry Political Consultation via  video link.

Deng Li said that China and Sudan  enjoy traditional friendship and have seen sound growth of bilateral relations  since the establishment of diplomatic relations 62 years ago. China attaches  great importance to developing its relations with Sudan, and will work with  Sudan to safeguard each other's core interests and major concerns and expand  exchanges and cooperation in all fields. China is willing to consolidate  communication and cooperation with Sudan to promote the continuous development  of China-Sudan, China-Arab and China-Africa relations.

Mohamed Sharif Abdallah restated  his congratulation on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist  Party of China and the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic  of China. He said that China is always a good friend and a good partner of  Sudan, and expected continuous assistance and supports from China in politics,  economy and other fields. Sudan is ready to cement the pragmatic cooperation  with China under the Belt and Road framework, actively respond to Global  Development Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, and work with China to  safeguard the common interests of developing countries.

Both sides also exchanged views  on regional hotspot issues.
