Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu Attends China-Russia-U.S. Vice-Foreign-Ministerial Teleconference

On November 19, 2021, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu held a teleconference with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Robert Malley, and exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear issue.

Ma Zhaoxu said, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is an important outcome of the multilateral diplomacy endorsed by the UN Security Council resolutions, and a key pillar of the international nuclear non-proliferation regime. It is crucial to maintain peace and stability in the Middle East region. The negotiations on resuming compliance with the JCPOA will be restarted in Vienna. All parties adopt a flexible and pragmatic attitude, respect each other's interests, create a sound atmosphere, and work for the JCPOA to get back on track at an early date.

China, Russia and the United States agree to keep communication and jointly push for the political and diplomatic settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue.
