On August 5, 2022, Vice Foreign Minister Ma Zhaoxu met with Kazakh Ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev.

Ma Zhaoxu said, since the establishment of diplomatic ties 30 years ago, China-Kazakhstan relations have grown by leaps and bounds under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. In February this year, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended the opening ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. President Xi Jinping held talks with him on a wide range of issues, and the two sides reached broad common understanding on deepening China-Kazakhstan relations and cooperation in various fields, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations in the new era. Standing at a new starting point in history, China is ready to work with Kazakhstan to ensure the sound implementation of the consensus reached by the two heads of state and push the China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level.

Nuryshev spoke highly of China's development achievements in recent years and the achievements of bilateral cooperation in various fields, and reiterated that Kazakhstan unswervingly abides by the one-China principle and supports the Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping. He said that Kazakhstan is ready to work with China to strengthen high-level exchanges, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas, and forge a new "golden thirty years" of Kazakhstan-China relations.
