On March 10, 2023, Director-General Cai Wei of the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended and delivered remarks at the China-Mexico Cooperation and Development Forum themed "Sharing opportunities and creating the future together", which was hosted by China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration (CICG). Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of the CICG Gao Anming, Chinese Ambassador to Mexico Zhang Run, Mexican Ambassador to China Jesús Seade, Secretary of Mexican Senate José Narro Céspedes, Chairman of Mexico-China Friendship Group of Mexican Parliament Yeidckol Polevnsky Gurwitz, representatives from universities, think tanks and chambers of commerce of the two countries attended the event.
