On April 2, 2024, Director-General of the Department of Treaty and Law of the Foreign Ministry Ma Xinmin held the fifth China-France dialogue on maritime law and polar affairs with Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic for the United Nations Ocean Conference and Ambassador for Polar and Maritime Affairs of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olivier Poivre d'Arvor in Beijing, and they had an in-depth exchange of views on maritime and polar affairs of mutual interest and concern.
